Editorial Standards

Seby Games is an independently maintained browser-game catalog. The platform combines provider-supplied HTML5 records with a separately maintained retro archive. The Seby Games editorial team is responsible for the organization, technical checks, original guides, compatibility notes, corrections, and decisions about what appears in public discovery.

Sources and attribution

Live game titles, artwork, instructions, and descriptions can originate with GameMonetize, GamePix, or their participating publishers. Retro metadata comes from the archived file, folder context, technical inspection, and local playback checks. Provider material is not presented as an original Seby Games review. Third-party owners retain their rights in games, trademarks, characters, and artwork.

Technical review

Feed ingestion accepts approved HTTPS hosts, normalizes fields, rejects incomplete records, and removes duplicate identifiers, URLs, titles, and slugs. Retro checks record the platform, controls, ActionScript generation where detectable, dependencies, and observed Ruffle status. Existing compatibility labels are archive metadata, not independently verified gameplay reviews. Complete hands-on review records are not available for every public entry. A successful file request or launch check does not prove controls, levels, or sound work correctly.

Search and content quality

Public availability and search index eligibility are separate. A game can remain playable in the catalog while using a noindex directive if its page relies primarily on provider text or a common template. Seby Games indexes original guides, useful collection pages, and retro pages that have received specific editorial commentary. We do not add meaningless paragraphs, synthetic reviews, or unverified star ratings to make a page appear more substantial.

Search directives do not establish advertising eligibility or permission to republish a game. Before enabling monetization, publication rights, page value, audience suitability, and consent must be assessed separately. A file being publicly downloadable or compatible with Ruffle does not establish a license to redistribute it.

Corrections and removals

Broken embeds, inaccurate controls, misleading artwork, unsafe behavior, duplicate titles, and compatibility changes can be reported through the Contact page. Rights holders can use the Copyright and DMCA page. A verified issue may result in a correction, a noindex decision, temporary hiding, provider escalation, or removal.

Advertising and independence

Advertising can support hosting and maintenance, but it does not make a game eligible for indexing or favorable placement. Provider ordering, compatibility labels, and editorial guidance are not sold as reviews. Ads must remain visually separate from player controls, navigation, and play actions. Seby Games does not ask visitors to click ads.

Original site guidance is published under the collective attribution “Seby Games editorial team.” No individual biography or professional credential is claimed.
